Parental Counselling
Navigate parenting challenges, family dynamics, and build stronger, more connected relationships at home.
In collaborative conversations with parents, I support them to make sense of their child’s behaviours, emotions, and developmental needs. Together, we explore what might be driving the concerning behaviours they are seeing — whether related to anxiety, emotional overwhelm, trauma, neurodiversity, or changes within the family system. My approach is gentle, curious, and non‑judgmental. I help parents name and understand their child’s internal experiences, and we work together to identify what their child is communicating through behaviour. This process often brings clarity, reduces frustration, and strengthens a parent’s confidence in responding in ways that feel attuned and supportive. From there, we tailor practical strategies to enhance connection, strengthen attachment, and create more predictable, emotionally safe interactions at home. These strategies may include co‑regulation tools, communication approaches, nervous‑system‑informed parenting practices, and ways to support their child’s emotional regulation and resilience. Parenting sessions are a space for reflection, learning, and empowerment — helping parents feel more equipped to support their child while also caring for themselves.
What clients say
