Youth & Adolescents

Respectful and honest discussions that explore identity and social challenges.

About this service

I support adolescents and young people through a combination of talk therapy and creative, expressive tools that make it easier to explore difficult thoughts, emotions, and experiences. Teenagers often communicate in ways that are indirect, visual, or story‑based, so sessions may include drawing, writing, metaphor work, values exploration, nervous‑system mapping, or other creative activities alongside conversation. These approaches help young people unpack what’s happening inside without feeling pressured or overwhelmed. My work with adolescents focuses on strengthening emotional regulation, building self‑awareness, and supporting them to safely discover their identity and find their voice. Therapy becomes a space where they can explore who they are, what matters to them, and how they want to show up in their relationships, school life, and daily experiences. I also accept referrals from Victims Services and provide trauma‑recovery counselling for young people who have been impacted by domestic, family, and sexual violence — whether recent or historical. This work is gentle, collaborative, and grounded in safety, empowerment, and choice.

What clients say

Netta's way of explaining our child's stressors and the reasons behind their behaviour gave us insight we hadn't considered and helped us respond with more empathy.

Before coming to Netta, I was scared I'd be judged or wouldn't be able to put my experiences into words. The way she reflects things back with kindness and clarity helped me make sense of what I was feeling, gave me hope and a sense of control again, and reminded me that my experiences are real and not my fault.
